To me, self-care is anything that makes me happy, healthy and strong – both physically, mentally and in my soul.
FAST! I try to come off my devices at around 10pm. I then usually have a little pre bed snack. Either half a banana with peanut butter or sliced mozzarella and pickles. I know weird – but I love it! I then mix up our SWIISH Sleep Superfood Powder with almond milk. I use a milk frother and add sweetener. I sip it while I do a last tidy around the house. I like to go to bed knowing everything’s put away and that I’m going to wake up to a (relatively) tidy house.
Having boundaries, saying no if I need to, carving out time for myself, a daily wellness routine that works for me, date night with Marcus, walks with my girlfriends, ice creams in the park with my two daughters, a (rare) sleep in, a sheet mask and scrolling on the couch. To me, self-care is anything that makes me happy, healthy and strong – both physically, mentally and in my soul.
Build a sleep routine and be consistent with it. Don’t make it complicated but make it work for you.
